The Regina Dragon Boat Festival is a volunteer, non-profit organization that would not exist without the support of our most valuable partners, our sponsors. Whether providing funding, volunteers, or in-kind support through products and services, sponsors contribute to the success of this annual festival.

Our festival offers a unique cultural opportunity of Arts, crafts, local artisans, Food Venues, a children’s village, cultural entertainment, a beer gardens and most importantly the dragon boat races themselves! A thrilling opportunity for crowds to gather and immerse themselves in the adrenaline packed, fast paced action! Sponsorship is creating lasting Mutual Partnerships and Benefits in all aspects of this festival.

$500 - General Festival Sponsorship Package

  • A dedicated thank you post on our Facebook page
  • Your company logo featured on our official website
  • The opportunity to display your banner (up to 4’ x 5’) or flag (up to 3’ x 6’) at the festival

If you choose to be a market or concession booth vendor or enter a boat in our festival you will get a 50% discount on this package

$2500 - $5000 Title Sponsorship Opportunities

There are sections of our festival that need corporate/title sponsorship, if you would like to be the title sponsor for an area prices are as follows:

  • Beer gardens $5000
  • Children’s Area $2500
  • Market Village $2500
  • Paddler’s Village $2500

The sponsorship will include your company’s name/logo on a banner/sign with the title of the area in that area of the festival, as well as the previously mentioned sponsorship perks:

  • A dedicated thank you post on our Facebook page
  • Your company logo featured on our official website
  • The opportunity to display your banner (up to 4’ x 5’) or flag (up to 3’ x 6’) at the festival

The area will be referred to by your company’s name throughout the festival by the announcers and in any social media mentions!

Cash Donations

Cash donations can be sent via E-Transfer to president@reginadragonboat.com. Auto-deposit is enabled. Please note that while we are a registered ISC non-profit, we are not currently registered with the CRA and therefore cannot issue tax receipts. We apologize for any inconvenience.

If you prefer to donate by cheque, please email us and we will provide a mailing address.

Gift-in-Kind Donations

A gift-in-kind is a donation of physical items or property rather than cash. Examples include gift cards, office supplies, tools, or artwork.

We welcome new or gently used items, provided they are in good working condition.

Gift In-Kind Wishlist:

  • Utility Buckets x8 (ideally red) – for holding paddlers things while they are on the water
  • Red disposable tablecloths x 8
  • Megaphones/bullhorns x1-3 – for communicating from boats to shore if walkie talkies fail
  • Walkie Talkies x 6
  • AA (48) & AAA (48) batteries – for mics, walkie talkies, Bluetooth speakers, flashlights in safety kits
  • Bluetooth speakers x 6 – for festival areas for the communications system
  • Airhorns for starter x 4-6
  • Stopwatches for finish x 4-6
  • Clipboards (x 10) – for volunteer areas
  • General office supplies: Sharpies (at least 10), black pens (at least 10), Scotch tape x 2 rolls, printer paper x 2 packs for printing day-of packets
  • Name tags (at least 100) for volunteers
  • Tarps x 3 – for laying out PFDs near boathouse
  • Lysol & Lysol wipes for cleaning PFDs after festival x 5 (2 bottles of each min)
  • Roll of tickets for beer garden x 1
  • Roll of tickets for pop x 1
  • Tickets for 50/50 x 2 – one for each night
  • First aid kits x 6 – for various areas around the festival
  • Bottled water for volunteers x 100
  • Packing tape x 4 rolls – for dock area to affix signs
  • Rope for boathouse x 100m – for replacing any that is worn
  • Bungee cords x 12 – for affixing drums to boats
  • Small toolkit – for the boathouse
  • Laminator & laminating sheets – for printing smaller signs for around festival
  • Colour printer – for printing smaller sign for around festival
  • Good quality outdoor lawn games that could be used in the children’s area (giant Jenga, cornhole, Giant connect four, ring toss, Ladder golf, lawn darts (the safe ones), etc.)
  • Gift Cards for Wal-Mart, Amazon, Canadian Tire, Bass Pro Shop, Giant Tiger, Staples, London Drugs, Real Canadian Superstore, etc. (to help with purchase of above materials)

Gift-in-Kind Wishlist for Fundraisers:

Items for fundraising purposes (e.g., door prizes, silent auctions, etc.) should be new or “re-gifted,” as they will be used as prizes:

  • Dragon boat themed items – artwork, keychains, mugs, totes, stationary, clothing, etc.
  • Non-perishable gift baskets
  • New-in-package cozy items like blankets, reading socks, slippers that are generic in sizing
  • Beauty items with long expiration dates that could be put in a basket
  • New in box toys or small gifts for children (fidget toys, small stuffed animals, outdoor toys, etc.)
  • Artwork (ideally by local artists, in good condition and not of a too large size (as it must be stored)
  • In box small electronics (portable chargers, Bluetooth speakers, colour-changing lights)
  • In package/on card jewelry or accessories
  • Items made by local artisans
  • Gift Cards for restaurants, grocery stores, big box stores, local artist shops, etc. (receipt included ideally)
  • Items branded from companies wishing to donate many items (we cannot accept the hat an individual got from a company, but if a company wished to donate 5 hats directly to us, we could accept them)

Gift drop-off can be arranged at the boathouse in Wascana Park, or in the east end of Regina. If needed, we may also be able to arrange pick-up. Please contact us to discuss what works best.

The Annual  Regina Dragon Boat Festival has been a long-time favourite event for paddlers, residents and visitors from across Canada.

Our city and dedicated volunteers welcome you to Regina’s beautiful Wascana Park for a summer experience of festival excitement and camaraderie second to none.
